2011 WGI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALIST "CHEVAL" WINTER GUARD

A HUGE Congratulations goes out to the "Cheval" Winter Guard. They traveled to the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio last week. After a strong Prelims run against 100 guards, they advanced to the Semi-Finals round in which only 45 groups also advanced. Their Semi-Finals run was so strong that out of the original 100 guards, they advanced to the Finals round in which only 15 guards make it. Entering ranked 13th, Cheval's performance bumped them to a Finals' Placement of #9. A four placement jump is almost unheard of in a World Championships Finals round. This is the FIRST time that an East Lincoln Winter Guard has ever advanced to Finals and a Top 10 Placement at WGI World Championships. So, East Lincoln now houses the #9 Scholastic A Winter Guard in the WORLD!!!! This placement reflects well on their hard work, the Band Program, our school and our State. Congratulations, Cheval! This is what happens when you carry yourselves with PRIDE and work so hard!!!
