What's New for ELHSBANDS.COM?
We have been working diligently to improve the communication flow from the Directors Desk and the Band Booster organization. You may have notices a GAGGLE of emails in your inbox. Well, we have finally solved this issue and are now launching our new communication process for important band news. THE CHANGES 1. For those of you who have logged into the website and have used the email tool, you will notice that there is no longer the ability see your own emails. This has been deleted from the registered user account. This tool was never intended as an email tool for you to read or send emails, it was only a bridge for Mr. Stamey and the Booster organization to send out blast emails, which I might say were pretty ineffective.
2. Emails will still be coming to your work or home email, whichever you have registered with on the site, or when filling in the paperwork at the beginning of the school year. We now have better control of who gets what emails, rather than ALL of the registered users getting the emails. Much more effective!
3. A new menu has been created ONLY FOR THOSE SIGNED IN. You must be signed in to view the new menu. If you forgot your password AND username please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
4. The new menu for Registered Users that are logged in contains the following links:
PICTURE UPLOAD - you can upload all your favorite band pictures here. Please only limit it to school related activities, all pictures will be screened prior to publishing on the website. Please make sure that you create a folder using the upload tool that describes the event for the pictures, i.e. [Folder Name = 9-17-10 Football Game]. This will make it much easier to publish for the administrator YOUR DETAILS - this is where you can update your email address, username, and password as well as other information. DISCUSSION BOARD - this is where you can start friendly discussions about topics that interest you, we hope that is music. DOCUMENTS & FORMS - this area is where you will be able to download documents such as meeting minutes, as well as other forms we use during the year. Most trip related forms will be with the event email when applicable. EMAIL ARCHIVE - this is Mr. Stamey's favorite menu item! ALL EMAILS SENT BY MR. STAMEY OR THE BOOSTERS WILL BE LOCATED HERE. So there should be no excuse that you did not receive an email with IMPORTANT INFORMATION, you now have a place to go to read all past emails. Note, we will remove very old emails to keep manageable.
5. We will be making minor changes and tweaks as the year goes on to help better serve the Band Family so keep your eyes open for new updates. We will also be starting an ALUMNI section in the near future for those of you who want to stay connected. Keep checking back often. Regards, Mark Tierney
