Showband of the Carolinas

Again this spring, Mr. Stamey and the ELHS Bands are fortunate to have a student teacher with us!  This year's students teacher is Mr. Brandon Meeks from Western Carolina University (GO CATS!!!).  Mr. Meeks is a Music Education Major with a concentration in Instrumental Music K-12.  While at WCU, Mr. Meeks was a member of the Horn Studio, the Horn Choir, the Wind Ensemble, the Symphony Band and of course the renowned "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band under the direction of one of ELHS's good friends, Mr. Bob Buckner.  Mr. Meeks was also a part of the pretigious North Carolina Teaching Fellows program.  Mr. Meeks will be assiting Mr. Stamey this semester with the Wind Ensemble and will be taking a large role in the instruction of the Symphonic Band.  We are very excited to have Mr. Meeks with us and look forward to his growth as a Band Director during his time here.  If you have any questions or would just like to welcome Mr. Meeks to our family, you can email him at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
