BOOSTER COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

|
Awards Banquet
|
Schedules and plans all logistics before, during, and after this annual event held in the spring.
|
|
Band Beat Competition
|
Coordinates with band director and Carolina Crown to provide support and logistics for competition day. Coordinates the sales of trophy sponsorships and advertising for the competition program. Works with the Pit Crew Chairperson insure equipment is available for transport of equipment during competition.

|
Band Camp
|
Works with the Hospitality Chair to collect donations and chaperone during camp. Assists in planning and coordinating of camp.
|
|
Chaperones, Logistics & Travel
|
Group of adults required by the school system to be with the students at all times during football games, competitions, or any scheduled event. Coordinates equipment transportation for competitions, also responsible for maintenance of vehicles. Coordinates band trips for competitions - Disney World, Hawaii, Europe, etc. Responsible for working with band director to provide lodging when needed as well as charter bus reservations for competitions and other events as necessary.

Charlotte Symphony - McGuire
|
Usually takes place in the Summer at the McGuire Nuclear Station. We serve hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks. Person is responsible for scheduling volunteers and equipment as well as purchasing supplies, tear down and clean up.

Fish Fry
|
Contracts with a fish camp to provide service. Prints tickets and coordinates the sale of the tickets. Makes sure volunteers are available for serving during the fish fry.
|
|
Football Concessions
|
This person works with the sports boosters to make sure that we have enough concessions support for home football games. They coordinate and call for volunteers.
|
|
Fundraising
|
Works with a committee of parents to provide fundraising opportunities to the Booster Board for review and approval. Fills out all necessary Lincoln County paperwork to gain permission for all fundraising activities.
|
|
Grants
|
Researches all possible avenues for grants. Writes grant applications and provides all necessary paperwork.
|
|
Group Representatives
|
This position works with the classes to make sure that they're working towards the goals of the band and support them in any way they can.
|
|
Hospitality
|
Provides meals as necessary before football games and coordinates meals for competitions and associated band events. Collects and distributes snack donations for half time and competitions throughout the year.
|
|
Media
|
This is a person that has a really good video camera so we can catch all the wonderful performances by our great band. Takes photos during practice, camp, games, competitions to be put on website.
|
|
Medical
|
Provide First Aid to all members of the band program throughout the year during events and competitions. A Registered Nurse is a really good credential to have.
|
|
Panthers Fit Squad
|
Coordinates with the Carolina Panthers Public Relations organization. Lines up volunteers for each game day scheduled, and makes sure things run smoothly during the Fit Squad.

|
Pit Crew
|
Load and unload all equipment for competitions and football games, responsible for equipment set up on and off field.
|
|
Props
|
Work with band director on planning, building and execution of props for marching band show.
|
|
Prop Mom / Prop Dad
|
Responsible for moving props on and off of field for competitions and football games. Responsible for chaperoning the middle school students setting up the props.
|
|
Senior Night
|
A senior parent(s) who is/are responsible for planning the activity for our wonderful seniors.
|
|
Shack Concessions
|
Coordinates the procurement of services for beverages, gas, permits, food, and anything else you can think of. Finds the volunteers to work the 2 week marathon as well as provide for ordering food. Don't worry you won't go it alone, there is plenty of help and experience to help along the way.

|
Sponsorship Program
|
Collects sponsorship forms and maintains a listing for reference and publication on the website. Provides and solicits leads for sponsorships.
|
|
Strawberry Festival
|
The festival takes place in May and is responsible for scheduling volunteers, making arrangements for as many industrial waffle irons as you can get your hands on, purchasing supplies, tear down and clean up.
|
|
Uniforms
|
Coordinates distribution, collection, and maintenance of uniforms throughout the year.
|
|
Winter Formal
|
Coordinates a group of parents to provide a sit down meal, decorations, disc jockey, setup, cleanup and teardown of event.
