The 8th Grade Band attended the North Carolina Music Performance Adjudication Festival on Wednesday, March 9, 2011
and received a SUPERIOR rating performing grade II/III music. Their selections were Then Come The Heroes,
The Eagle’s Triumph, and Harrowgate Festival. This is a milestone for the ELMS band because no other band in school
history has received a superior rating in grade III music. A huge thank you goes to Dustin Stamey, Director of Bands at
East Lincoln High School, for all of his work and support in helping the band achieve their goals. Other thanks go to the
staff, parents, and administrators who made the performance possible and a huge success.
